Another candidate for Philadelphia district attorney has officially entered the field, this time at the site of a police officer's death.
Brian Grady, a Democrat, made his announcement of his district attorney bid this morning in front of the Dunkin Donuts at 6620 N. Broad St. where Police Officer Charles Cassidy was shot in 2007.
Grady was Cassidy's former neighbor and a friend, according to a news release.
Grady was expected to receive the endorsements of James Eisenhower, a former Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania attorney general, and Maureen Faulkner, wife of the late Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner who was shot and killed by Mumia Abu-Jamal.
