Philadelphia-based Dilworth Paxson announced Monday it has hired a new partner to chair its health care practice.
Karen L. Palestini has joined the firm from Saul Ewing, where she was a partner in the Princeton, N.J., office.
Palestini replaces Katherine M. Keefe, who left the firm in August to head up the new business unit of network security and privacy risk insurer Beazley.
Firm Chairman Joseph H. Jacovini told The Legal that Keefe was “instrumental” in helping to recruit Palestini to the firm.
In addition to her role as head of Dilworth Paxson’s health care group, Palestini, whose practice centers on business and regulatory issues related to health care and life sciences, will serve as a partner in the firm’s corporate and business department.
Palestini will maintain offices in both Philadelphia and Red Bank, N.J.
